Mauthe Clocks was founded in 1844 by Friedrich Mauthe. Three Generations later, in 1925, Mauthe announced a new trademark. It shows a right-looking Eagle with outstretched wings, holding in its talons a three-part round plate with the letters F, M and S. These letters stand for F = Dr Fritz Mauthe, M = Mauthe, S = the city of Schwenningen.
Clock & Chime start-up user instructions in German and Serial number on the inside of the backdoor. To start-up the clock after plugging in the power plug, just pull the cord a few times.
